Web Summit will have a dedicated press conference facility at this year’s event. We want to help you and your organisation communicate directly to a group of select, targeted media. Typically, press conferences will take place directly after a speaker’s appearance onstage.
The press conference area will operate each day of Web Summit from 10.30am to 5pm. The area will be managed and staffed by Web Summit’s media team. 30-minute press conference slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Each press conference will feature an introduction to assembled media from the dedicated Web Summit media team, followed by a brief statement or comment from the speaker before the floor is opened to questions from the media.
The final decision on press conferences is at the sole discretion of Web Summit’s media team.
To give you a sense of the space:
- The press conference stage is a private space in the media village.
- The stage will be set up theatre-style, with two tables and seating for two at the front.
- Dedicated space for media, television cameras, videographers and photographers.
- There will be full AV facilities in the press conference area, including a roving microphone and a screen for presentations.
Support from the Web Summit media team:
- One dedicated point of contact on the Web Summit media team to assist with scheduling and managing the press conference, including introducing the speaker and managing questions from the assembled media.
- The media team will ensure all relevant media receive an invitation to your press conference, and work with you to utilise your own contacts to ensure strong media attendance.
